What is Integrative Medicine? Integrative medicine is gaining more support throughout the medical community as they seek a more wholistic approach to health and wellness.

It is based in part on the greater understanding of the body as a complete system, and how therapies can have effects across sub-systems. The goal is not to choose natural remedies or bioactives over traditional pharmaceutical drugs, but to integrate both together for a more meaningful blending of therapies leading to a healthier lifestyle. More than 38% of the U.S. adults use integrative medicine, and the National Institute of Health has an agency devoted to research in this area.
